How We Do Church

Worship at Haddenham Baptist

We meet on Sunday mornings at 10:45am to spend time in worship and fellowship together. Our praise is led by a small group of musicians and we spend time in prayer and looking at God’s Word, the Bible. We hope to keep our services fresh and enjoyable and to offer a spiritual challenge and hope through our time together.

On the first Sunday of each month, we have a Family Service that we hope will provide something for all ages worshipping together. It is our belief that God’s Church encompasses all ages and as such the younger members of our congregation can bring much to our worship times.

This year we have been trialling some ‘Café Style’ services on fifth Sundays. These are a more informal style of service with coffee & doughnuts, lively worship, a thought provoking message with opportunity to discuss your own thoughts on the subject.  Details and dates here.

On the second Sunday of each month our service includes Communion where we invite all those who love the Lord Jesus Christ to share with us.

During our regular services there are groups for 0-18s; see our ‘What’s On’ page for details of these.

Structure and Organisation

Haddenham Baptist has a leadership team which comprises of a minister and a number of deacons.

The Leadership Team have responsibility for the general running of the church and for spiritual and practical oversight of the various groups and activities that take place.

Our bi-monthly Church Meeting is the main forum through which the church is governed. Church members meet together bi-monthly to seek God’s direction for the church, to make necessary decisions and to share our experience of God’s leading with the other members, so that together we can best serve Him in this place.
