Discipleship

Learning Together

As Christians, we recognise that we always have something new to learn; about God, ourselves and the call to mission and evangelism.

At Haddenham Baptist we provide opportunities to grow in our discipleship through Sunday worship, House Groups and through other events or short courses, such as Alpha.

Our House Groups offer a time for members to get to know each other better in a smaller setting. We use the time to learn from God’s word and from each other's experiences of God’s grace and to support and encourage one another in our everyday walk with Him.

From time to time we run courses such as Alpha that provide an opportunity to explore the Bible and what it means to be a Christian. These are held as small informal groups with plenty of opportunity to ask questions and discuss the topic. More about Alpha can be found at the Alpha web site (see Links page) or contact our Pastor if you have questions or would like to attend an Alpha course.

Overseas Mission

God’s calling comes in many shapes and sizes. For some it is a calling to work overseas and in the past we have had members making short term mission trips to Thailand and Romania.

At Haddenham Baptist we also believe God calls us to support his worldwide church and those He sends out from the bounty He blesses us with, both in prayer and financially. As a church we have made a commitment to support Mick & Ali Holstead and their Family working for Novi Most International amongst young people in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Ann & David MacFarlane working for the Baptist Missionary Society amongst homeless immigrants in the south of Italy, as well as giving to other needs as the Lord leads us.
